“Come and eat”

After a really busy day, a boy famished and hungry, Sat down to eat, his excitement and hyperact showed that he was really enjoying his meal.

His uncle came inside, and after being offered a seat, he sat down. From angle his face could be seen searching all over the boy’s face.

After a long while he broke the silence and asked the boy, “won’t you ask me to come and eat?”

“Come and eat, sir” the boy said in worry, would he have to share this?

“No, thank you. I  ate at home.”

The boy looked puzzled and confused.

“Why would he asked to be called if he was not hungry?”

This tradition is so much practised in Nigeria, if not other African countries.

Do you think it’s right.
